🦷 Just one drop whitens teeth, eliminates fungus, and fights bad breath

Tea tree oil, from the *Melaleuca alternifolia* tree, offers natural benefits for oral health thanks to its antibacterial, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory properties.

Many users find it helps gently whiten teeth. “Adding a drop to toothpaste or mixing it with baking soda and water” may brighten smiles over time—without the harsh effects of commercial whiteners.

It’s also used for oral fungal infections like thrush. A rinse made with one drop of oil in warm water can soothe “white patches or soreness,” though it must never be swallowed. For serious cases, always see a dentist.

Tea tree oil may also combat bad breath. “Bacterial buildup in the mouth is a common cause,” and its antibacterial power helps reduce odors. Blending it with peppermint or clove oil for mouthwash offers a fresher feel.

However, the oil is very strong and must be diluted. Using it undiluted can cause irritation or allergic reactions. A patch test and dental advice are recommended before use.

While not a replacement for brushing and flossing, tea tree oil can safely enhance your routine, supporting “whiter teeth, healthier gums, and fresher breath” when used carefully.
