Travis Decker, 32, is still missing over a month after his three daughters—Paityn (9), Evelyn (8), and Olivia (5)—were found dead following a court-ordered visit. The girls were reported missing on May 30 by their mother, Whitney Decker, when they failed to return home. Their bodies were discovered days later at Rock Island Campground, Washington, near Decker’s abandoned truck.
The Chelan County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the girls had plastic bags over their heads and possibly zip-tied hands. Decker has been charged with three counts of first-degree murder and kidnapping. His wallet, phone, and DNA were found at the scene, confirming police suspicion: “We do not have any reason to believe there are any other suspects.”
Authorities believe Decker may have died in the forest, but the manhunt continues. “Some search resources are being redirected to find and recover Decker if he died in the rugged wilderness,” police said.
Whitney described her daughters as “incredible” and said she wants Decker found “dead or alive.” At their memorial, she emotionally added, “I’m so thankful for the time I had with the girls.” She now advocates for Amber Alert reforms and better veteran mental health care.
