Prince Harry has suffered a tragic loss as 98-year-old Michael Brudenell-Bruce, the 8th Marquess of Ailesbury, died in a fall while trying to rescue his cat, Honeybun. He reportedly fell from his bedroom window in Shepherd’s Bush, West London, striking his head on a concrete patio.
“It was a freak accident,” said his longtime partner, Teresa Marshall de Paoli, who found him lying in a pool of blood. Emergency services pronounced him dead at the scene. Authorities initially treated the incident as suspicious but later confirmed it was accidental.
The fall happened late Sunday night, leaving Teresa and his daughter, Lady Kathryn Brudenell Bruce, devastated.
Michael Brudenell-Bruce was a former Eton student, a Royal Horse Guards captain, and a stockbroker. He is remembered for his distinguished background and is mourned by his family and friends.
