Pauline Potter once made headlines for eating a massive breakfast — including “six scrambled eggs, half a pound of bacon… and an ice cream milkshake” — in her quest to become the world’s heaviest woman. At 700 pounds, she earned the Guinness title of World’s Heaviest Living Woman in 2012.
She was part of the Supersize Big Beautiful Women group, which promoted body positivity. But the harsh reality of her weight — including needing help to apply corn starch to prevent skin infections — led her to seek change.
Pauline joined *My 600-lb Life* and began working with Dr. Younan Nowzaradan. She struggled with the strict 1,200-calorie diet and nearly quit, but eventually lost 300 pounds and qualified for skin removal surgery.
By October 2021, Dr. Now celebrated her progress, saying her transformation showed that “surgery is a tool, not a cure,” stressing the importance of mindset.
By January 2023, she had lost over 520 pounds and was living a healthier life in California. Though she’s been silent online since early 2023, her story remains a powerful example of resilience and personal change.
