Former President Trump stirred controversy by sharing an AI-generated video showing Barack Obama being arrested. The video followed claims by Tulsi Gabbard, now Director of National Intelligence, who accused Obama of leading a “years-long coup” to undermine Trump’s presidency.
Gabbard released hundreds of declassified documents related to Russian interference in the 2016 election, claiming the Obama administration used “manufactured and politicized intelligence.” She argued, “Their goal was to subvert the will of the American people.”
Trump echoed her statements on Truth Social and reposted a TikTok video titled *“No one is above the law,”* showing a fictional scene of Obama being handcuffed and jailed.
The released documents, though heavily redacted, include a line stating there was *“no indication of a Russian threat to directly manipulate the actual vote count through cyber means.”* Gabbard said Democrats ignored this and used false narratives to target Trump.
She called for a full investigation into Obama, James Comey, and others, stating, *“Every person involved… must be investigated and prosecuted.”*
Democrats argue Gabbard’s move aims to distract from the Justice Department’s decision to close the Jeffrey Epstein case.
