Richard Huff, 51, is covered in tattoos—over 240—and plans to be fully inked in the next four years. Despite being a devoted husband and father of five, many judge him harshly based on his appearance. “It became an addiction,” Richard said. “I started with my legs and worked my way up.”
Strangers online often ridicule him, especially for his face tattoos. One commenter said, “I’m not against tattoos, but… does he really need tattoos on his face like that?” But Richard remains unfazed: “This is what we did and we’re happy… our kids are happy and to us, that’s all that matters.”
His wife Marita once judged him too, admitting, “I did judge Richard based on his looks at first, but… he is actually a big-hearted person.” She now praises him as a loving husband and father.
Richard is active in his children’s lives—attending school events and participating in the PTA. Even when kids call him “scary,” his daughter proudly defends him: “No, my dad is not scary, he is good with tattoos.”
He summed it up simply: “Having tattoos does not make me a bad father… it gives my kids a different perspective on life.”
