Woman, 27, shares the one symptom doctors kept ‘dismissing’ before being diagnosed with stage 4 cancer

Three women in their 20s—Rylie, Haley, and Georgia—are raising awareness after being diagnosed with late-stage cancers doctors initially dismissed.

**Rylie Toomey**, 27, from Pennsylvania, experienced severe stomach pain doctors brushed off as constipation. She was later diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. “I felt like I was being stabbed,” she said. Despite no family history or risk factors, doctors didn’t take her symptoms seriously because of her age. Rylie now urges others to “push for answers.”

**Haley**, in her 20s from Los Angeles, suffered years of digestive issues before pushing for tests due to a family history of cancer. She was diagnosed with pancreatic neuroendocrine cancer, a rare form. After surgery, she’s now cancer-free and says, “Thank goodness I was able to catch it when I did.”

**Georgia Gardiner**, 28, from the UK, visited doctors nine times after experiencing stomach cramps and vomiting. She was misdiagnosed with heartburn and only diagnosed with stage 4 gastric cancer after months of worsening symptoms. “I thought I was invincible,” she said. Now, she’s focused on creating memories with her son.

All three women stress the importance of trusting your body and demanding proper medical attention.
