A tragic double homicide occurred on July 26 at Devil’s Den State Park in Arkansas. Clinton David Brink, 43, and his wife Cristen Amanda Brink, 41, were fatally attacked while hiking with their two young daughters, who were unharmed and are now with relatives. Police radio captured the tense discovery, with one officer saying, “I’ve got two bodies down here.”
Authorities are searching for a white male suspect of medium build, last seen wearing dark clothes, fingerless gloves, and carrying a black backpack. He may have fled in a black four-door sedan with obscured plates. Police urge visitors to check their footage and avoid posting evidence online.
Arkansas officials, including Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders, expressed condolences. “Law enforcement will not rest until the perpetrator is brought to justice,” she said. A homicide investigation is ongoing.
Separately, in Dalton, Georgia, three people were found dead in a murder-suicide. Kevin Akins killed his wife Rebeca and pregnant girlfriend Cindel Rhoden before taking his own life. Both women’s families have launched GoFundMe pages, seeking support for funeral costs and the children left behind. “Cindel was kind, full of life, and a devoted mom,” one fundraiser said.
