At Ozzy Osbourne’s farewell in Birmingham on July 30, fans noticed a touching gesture from his wife, Sharon. While mourning with their children—Aimee, Kelly, and Jack—at the Black Sabbath bench, Sharon wore a necklace carrying Ozzy’s wedding ring.
“Sharon Osbourne wearing Ozzy’s wedding ring in a chain around her neck while mourning him \[crying face], we love you Shaz,” one fan wrote. Another added, “Yeah, this is the ring they got for their wedding renewal in 2017.”
Ozzy, the Black Sabbath frontman, passed away on July 22 at age 76. Hundreds gathered for the public parade. The family was visibly emotional, each raising a peace sign and carrying pink roses wrapped in black paper with purple ribbon.
Sharon and Ozzy’s relationship spanned decades. They met in 1970, married in 1982, and renewed their vows in 2017. Ozzy once said the renewal felt like “a new beginning,” calling it “our real wedding day.”
At the farewell, Sharon kissed her flower before laying it beside a poster of Ozzy, a final tribute to her husband of over 40 years.
