Meghan McCain and Ben Domenech began dating in 2014, quickly forming a deep bond. By July 2017, they were engaged, though McCain kept it quiet at first. “We have been engaged for a while… I hoped no one would find out, but I’m really happy and I adore him,” she said on *The View*.
They married in November 2017. After suffering a miscarriage in 2019, they welcomed their first daughter, Liberty, in 2020, and their second, Clover, in January 2023. McCain announced in June 2025 on her *Citizen McCain* podcast that she’s expecting their third child: “I have two young daughters… and I am pregnant with my third child.”
Reflecting on their first date, McCain told *The Ben Shapiro Show*, “This is a completely different vibe. Conservative men take marriage and family more seriously.” She also revealed her father, Senator John McCain, influenced their engagement timing: “We decided to celebrate life… He is my partner.”
Though she once doubted she’d marry, McCain now embraces family life. “We are all ecstatic and happy,” she said when introducing Clover. Their family continues to grow as they prepare to welcome a third child.
