In 2010, April Webster and Nathan Fishbourne became Britain’s youngest parents at age 14. April got pregnant at 13 and found out just before her 14th birthday. The two were classmates in South Wales and had been in a typical teenage relationship. “I was scared to tell my parents,” April said, but they supported her through the pregnancy.
Jamie was born in November 2010 via C-section, weighing nearly nine pounds. Soon after, he had urgent surgery for a malformed oesophagus but recovered well. April moved in with her parents and sister, who helped care for the baby. Nathan was involved at first, but the couple split in 2011. April later said, “We haven’t been in contact.”
She didn’t finish school but focused on raising Jamie. Now 28, April has three children—Jamie, Ava Lianne, and Rowan David—and lives with her partner, Jake Jones. She occasionally shares family moments online.
Nathan has also moved on. He got engaged in 2023 and has children of his own. Despite the challenges of becoming parents so young, both April and Nathan have built stable lives as adults.
