Warts are small skin growths caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV). They are usually harmless but can be bothersome, leading many to try natural remedies instead of invasive treatments.
Garlic – Known for its antiviral properties, garlic is often used as a remedy. “Crush a garlic clove and place it directly on the wart… cover with a bandage and leave it overnight. Repeat every day until the wart fades.”
Apple cider vinegar – Its acetic acid helps erode wart tissue. “Soak a cotton ball with vinegar and press it on the wart… keep it in place for several hours or overnight.”
Banana peel – The peel contains enzymes that may weaken warts. “Cut a small piece of peel and place it inside-down against the wart… leave it overnight.”
Aloe vera – With cooling and antiviral effects, aloe can soothe skin. “Take fresh aloe gel and spread it on the wart… apply two times a day until the wart disappears.”
Doctors warn: don’t scratch or cut warts, and seek help if they change in color, size, or become painful.
