Five years after losing their son Robert, Clara and Martin still protect the untouched college fund created for him before birth. To them, it represents “every memory, every moment of belief in his future,” and Robert’s dream of becoming an astrophysicist.
At Martin’s birthday dinner, his sister Amber shocks the family by demanding the money for her own son, Steven. She argues Clara is too old to have children and that the fund is “going to waste.” The room falls silent until Jay, their father-in-law, reveals Amber had already spent Steven’s college fund on a Disney trip.
Jay criticizes her entitlement, pointing out that Robert’s fund was built “out of love and intention, not a fallback plan.” The confrontation humiliates Amber, who storms out. Later, she sends Clara a bitter message accusing her of selfishness.
Clara does not reply. That night, she and Martin sit with Robert’s telescope, remembering their son. The fund will remain untouched — a lasting symbol of his dreams.
