President Donald Trump called reporters to the Oval Office after days of speculation about his health and possible resignation. The White House announced, “THE PRESIDENT makes an announcement,” but gave no details.
Rumors spread online, with one post asking, “Is he resigning?” and another joking, “People are saying he’s going to announce that he has unfortunately died.” Speculation grew after bruising was spotted on Trump’s hand and because he had no public events over the weekend.
Trump dismissed the rumors on Truth Social, writing, “NEVER FELT BETTER IN MY LIFE. Also, DC IS A CRIME FREE ZONE!” He was also seen golfing with his granddaughter, proving he was very much alive.
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent suggested the administration might declare “a national housing emergency in the fall” to tackle affordability issues, though no details were given.
Meanwhile, Trump continues foreign policy efforts. After meeting Vladimir Putin in Alaska, he warned, “I hope President Putin is going to be good and if he’s not, that’s going to be a rough situation.” He also insisted Ukraine “are not going to be a part of NATO” but said European troops would help deter Russia.
