At China’s V-Day celebrations, Vladimir Putin, Xi Jinping, and Kim Jong-Un were pictured together in what many called a historic and intimidating show of unity. Xi warned the West that humanity faces a choice between “peace or war, dialogue or confrontation, win-win or zero-sum.” Only two Western leaders, from Slovakia and Serbia, attended the event.
Donald Trump was not invited but quickly responded on Truth Social. He asked, “whether or not President Xi of China will mention the massive amount of ‘support and ‘blood’ that The United States of America gave to China in order to help it to secure its FREEDOM from a very unfriendly foreign invader.” He added, “I hope that they are rightfully Honored and Remembered for their Bravery and Sacrifice!”
Despite the tension, Trump offered formal well-wishes: “May President Xi and the wonderful people of China have a great and lasting day of celebration. Please give my warmest regards to Vladimir Putin, and Kim Jong Un, as you conspire against The United States of America.”
The parade highlighted China’s growing military power, showcasing weapons such as the Dongfeng-5C hypersonic missile, which can reach any point on Earth at 16,700 mph. Ironically, the event ended with the release of 80,000 peace doves while conflicts in Ukraine, Taiwan, and North Korea remain unresolved.
