Kristin Cabot, 52, has filed for divorce from Andrew Cabot just weeks after being caught on the Coldplay Kiss-Cam kissing her boss, Astronomer CEO Andy Byron. The filing was made August 13 in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
Though Kristin’s public canoodling drew attention, the marriage had already been troubled. Andrew’s ex-wife Julia Cabot said, “I texted Andrew right after it happened, and he said: ‘Her life is nothing to do with me,’ and said they were separating.” She added, “He’s saying it has nothing to do with him, even though they were married and shared a house. But then, the only thing he cares about is money.”
Julia didn’t spare Kristin either, saying, “I wouldn’t say he’s husband material… But she doesn’t seem like wife material either.”
Andrew Cabot, CEO of Privateer Rum and a descendant of a “Boston Brahmin” family, is now facing his third divorce. Julia noted, “That’s why after it happened, I got loads of texts from people with that word: karma.”
Some insiders, however, suspect the couple is playing down the scandal to “save face,” pointing out they were publicly “saying how in love they are” only a month earlier.
