Grace Kelley, 28, daughter of country star Wynonna Judd, says her childhood was marked by pain, not fame. “My story is so messed up,” she admitted, recalling years of silence, dysfunction, and instability. Between ages 12 and 17, she was placed in 14 different facilities while battling addiction and mental health struggles.
Raised in church but without stability at home, Kelley says the pressures of fame did not shield her family from turmoil. She alleged her former stepfather, D.R. Roach—Judd’s ex-husband—molested her when she was a child. Arrested in 2007, Roach later pled guilty to attempted aggravated sexual battery. Kelley claims her mother only divorced him once the case became public.
Her struggles continued into adulthood. From 2023 to 2024, Kelley faced arrests tied to parole violations, indecent exposure, fleeing police, and drug offenses. A breaking point came in October 2024, when a drug-fueled arrest in Charlottesville led to a plea deal and six weeks in jail, giving her time to detox.
In jail, she connected with Pastor Kent Hart and his wife Megan, who guided her toward faith. Baptized in 2025, Kelley says, “Ever since I gave my life to God—it’s just beautiful.” Now living in Charlottesville, she embraces a future of renewal.
