Laura Gómez, 32, began suffering from severe itching that she first believed was an allergy. She switched soaps, avoided foods, and visited a dermatologist, who prescribed creams and antihistamines, but “nothing worked.”
The itching worsened daily, disturbing her sleep, mood, and routine. “It was desperate,” Laura recalls. “I felt like something was moving inside me, I scratched myself until I bled, and nothing could relieve me.”
Despite multiple attempts at relief, her condition only intensified, leaving her exhausted and without answers.
What seemed like a simple irritation quickly became a mystery illness that took over her life.
“I never imagined what was coming,” she says, describing the frightening uncertainty of her symptoms.
