Charlie Kirk, co-founder of Turning Point USA, was shot and killed on September 10 during an event at Utah Valley University. Authorities later arrested 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, who has been charged with murder.
A memorial on September 21 drew over 60,000 attendees, including Donald Trump, JD Vance, and Kirk’s wife Erika. Speaking about seeing him after his death, she said: “I also saw on his lips the faintest smile… it told me Charlie didn’t suffer.” She added, “One moment, Charlie was doing what he loved… then he blinked and saw his savior in paradise.”
Erika has since stepped into the spotlight, becoming CEO of Turning Point USA and appearing on her late husband’s podcast. Hosting The Charlie Kirk Show on September 26, she assured listeners: “The Charlie Kirk Show is not going anywhere… My husband’s voice will live on.” The show will now feature rotating hosts and continue as “the north star of the conservative movement.”
She also confirmed that the American Comeback Tour will move “full steam ahead,” saying: “We’ll never be silenced… continuing his platform in a beautiful, honorable way will reinforce that he will never be silenced.”
