Selena Gomez’s Kidney Donor Francia Raisa Breaks Silence After Wedding Snub

Francia Raisa, 37, made headlines in 2017 when she donated a kidney to Selena Gomez, who was battling lupus. But years later, their friendship remains distant and surrounded by rumors. In a recent interview, Raisa said, “Right now, what you are asking me is nonsense that has been in the media, and there are too many rumors. I’ve never said anything.”

When asked about not being invited to Gomez’s wedding to Benny Blanco — which included stars like Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran — Raisa responded gracefully: “I know she’s getting married, and I’m very happy for her… she is already a billionaire and I am grateful that I could do that for her.”

Reflecting on her donation, Raisa explained, “It’s a donation… you’re not going to call to say, ‘Hey, what are you doing with my dollar?’ I am grateful that I am alive, and I can say that I have saved a life.”

She also denied being upset over Gomez’s rumored smoking: “I wasn’t aware of those rumors… one day, maybe we will address it.”

Despite years of silence, Raisa’s message remains clear — she donated out of love, not obligation, while Gomez continues her new life with Blanco.
