Jimmy Fallon Announces Death of His Family’s ‘First Baby’

Jimmy Fallon and his family are mourning the loss of their beloved golden retriever, Gary, who had been with them for over 13 years. Fallon shared an emotional tribute on Instagram, posting photos and a heartfelt message that touched fans deeply.

“She was the last name we signed on every birthday card,” Fallon wrote, calling Gary “our first baby, a therapist, a pillow, a big sister, a schoolmarm, a comedian, a party girl and a rebel.” Each image captured their bond — from playful moments on a bright orange rug to family gatherings filled with joy and love.

Fallon described Gary as “always smiling even when she slept” and remembered her funny habits, like jumping into the pool right after a bath and rolling in the grass “doing bunny kicks with her tongue sticking out.” He said she “would lean into you if she liked you — though ‘if’ is generous — she did this for basically everyone.”

Ending his tribute, Fallon wrote, “Franny, Winnie, Mommy and I miss you. The house misses you […] Thank you for everything. Gosh, we miss you so much. Goodnight, Gary.”

The post quickly drew a wave of condolences and love from fans around the world.
