Ike Turner Jr., son of music legends Tina and Ike Turner, has died at 67, just one day after his birthday. He passed away on October 4, 2025, in a Los Angeles hospital from kidney failure. His cousin Jacqueline Bullock confirmed the news, saying, “Junior was more than a cousin to me, but rather a brother… Losing him leaves a void in our hearts that can never be filled.”
His death mirrors that of his mother, Tina Turner, who died in 2023 at 83 after years of kidney problems. Tina’s husband, Erwin Bach, had donated a kidney to her in 2017 — a testament to her enduring strength and love.
Born in 1958, Ike Jr. was adopted by Tina and grew up under her care. “Tina raised me from the age of two. She’s the only mother I’ve ever known,” he said in 2018, though he admitted they hadn’t spoken in years. He began working in music early, managing his father’s Bolic Sound Studios and earning a Grammy in 2007 for Risin’ With The Blues.
The Turner family has faced immense loss: Tina’s sons Craig and Ronnie died in 2018 and 2022. Ike Jr.’s passing marks another heartbreaking chapter in a family defined by both musical brilliance and tragedy.
