Two months after MAGA activist Charlie Kirk was shot dead at Utah Valley University, his wife Erika Kirk has spoken publicly about her grief and the viral video of his death.
Charged with the killing is 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, whose trial is set for January. Officials said it took 33 hours to identify and arrest him. Kirk’s memorial at State Farm Stadium drew major political figures, including Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance, who joined Erika on stage to honor her husband.
After facing online criticism for appearing “smiling” during a podcast, Erika responded, saying, “There is no linear blueprint for grief.” She explained, “One day you’re collapsed on the floor crying out the name Jesus… the next you’re playing with your children… and a smile breaks through.”
In a Fox News interview, Erika made a heartbreaking confession: she refuses to watch the video of her husband’s murder. “I never saw the video, I never will see it, I never want to see it,” she said. “There are things that mark your soul forever… I don’t want my husband’s public assassination to be something I ever see.”
She added, “We’re human, life is fragile… why would you spend time looking at something so evil?”
