He said, “I created a healthy boundary for myself and moved to another room.” As their marriage worsened, McDermott battled substance abuse, feeling increasingly isolated.
Despite announcing their separation on Instagram, McDermott deleted the post moments later. He explained, “I posted that because I was at the end of my rope.”
McDermott also confessed to a dark moment, taking multiple Ambien with suicidal intentions. Grateful to have survived, he emphasized his sobriety and newfound happiness. Tori Spelling has yet to share her perspective on their tumultuous relationship.
