18-Year-Old College Student Tragically Dies While Taking Afternoon Walk

In a tragic incident, 19-year-old Jillian Ludwig, a Belmont University freshman and music enthusiast, was fatally shot while jogging at Edgehill Community Memorial Gardens Park. The shooter, 29-year-old Shaquille Taylor, faces initial charges of aggravated assault and evidence tampering. The police revealed Taylor’s alleged firing at a car across the street unintentionally hit Ludwig.

Belmont University President Greg Jones expressed condolences, emphasizing Ludwig’s role as a music business major.
