April Webster and Nathan Fishbourne became widely known in 2010 after being identified as the youngest parents in the United Kingdom. April was 13 when she became pregnant, and Nathan was 14 when their son, Jamie Fishbourne, was born. Their story quickly drew national attention, bringing both sympathy and criticism from the public.
The two met as classmates at St. Cenydd School in Caerphilly, South Wales. Their teenage relationship changed dramatically when April learned she was pregnant just one day before turning 14. The news shocked both families, but despite the surprise, relatives decided to support the young couple as they prepared for parenthood.
Jamie was born in November 2010 through a cesarean section. Soon after birth, doctors discovered a medical issue—a malformed oesophagus—that required surgery. After receiving treatment and spending 11 days in the hospital, he recovered well enough to return home. April lived with her parents and sister, where she began adjusting to the responsibilities of motherhood with their help.
Nathan and his family lived nearby, and in the beginning there were questions about how the young parents would handle their relationship. April focused on caring for her child, determined to do her best as a mother. Nathan also hoped to remain involved, planning to spend time with Jamie on weekends.
By 2014, April shared that she and Nathan had separated and were no longer in contact. She did not complete her GCSE exams, choosing instead to concentrate on raising Jamie with the support of her family. Despite the challenges, she stayed positive about her role as a parent.
Today, April—now 28 and known as April Lianna—has built a stable life. She is the mother of three children: Jamie, Ava Lianne, and Rowan David, and is in a relationship with Jake Jones. Nathan has also moved forward, becoming engaged to Samantha in 2023 and raising a family of his own. Their story shows the difficulties of teen parenthood but also how support and determination can help create stable futures.
