In a surprising transformation, a retired bus has evolved into a cozy home under the skilled hands of creative master Whit Scott. Originating as a tour bus on Mt. St., the vehicle had various roles, including a stint as a food truck named “the Grilled Cheese Grill” in Portland. Scott, an entrepreneur seeking a change from computer work, invested $22,000 and five months of diligent effort to turn the bus into a charming tiny house.
The renovated bus now features a well-appointed kitchenette with a lovely countertop, complete with a fridge and microwave. The bathroom, though small, is charming, equipped with a full-size shower, a compact sink, and a composting toilet. The singular bedroom boasts a queen-sized bed and a cozy corner set to transform into a mini cinema zone.
Scott’s creative vision and determination shine through in this unconventional home project, showcasing his talent beyond the business world.
