Teen Girl Dies, Then Mom Looks Closer At Her Casket And Realizes Notes Are Scribbled All Over It

Laura Hillier, a vibrant student from Ontario, Canada, battled leukemia since age 13. Despite four years of remission, the cancer returned, leading to her passing on January 20, 2016. Her family, sharing the news on the Hope for Laura Facebook page, praised her bravery and spirit.

To honor Laura’s life, friends, family, and educators gathered to transform her casket into a beautiful tribute. Messages like “You were musical. You were artistic. You were my best friend” adorned the casket in a heartfelt farewell. The images quickly went viral, resonating globally.

Laura’s funeral reflected her love for purple, seen in flowers and attire. In lieu of flowers, donations to Coast to Coast, a childhood cancer charity, were encouraged. Laura’s story lives on, a testament to courage and a reminder to cherish every moment.
