They exchanged greetings until Salvatore introduced himself, forging a fast friendship. As Norma’s health declined at 89, Salvatore, realizing she needed constant care, set up a GoFundMe. The 31-year-old actor faced a tough choice: a care facility or inviting her to live with him. He couldn’t fathom abandoning her. He said, ‘I’m so happy I was able to give her this gift of living her last days at home.’ They became excellent roommates, sharing news, Champagne, and peanuts. However, on February 15, 2017, Cook passed away, and Salvatore shared the news on Instagram, mourning the loss of the ‘grandson she never had.'”
