Why Men Aren’t Really Men Anymore

In the “information age,” social media has reshaped communication, emphasizing global connections over face-to-face encounters. However, this shift reveals a decline in genuine character. Online platforms, while fostering connections, have also become grounds for impersonal confrontations.

“The Internet acts like beer-muscles. It makes you believe that you are stronger than you actually are,” enabling anonymity and empowering individuals to express themselves aggressively.

In the absence of physical presence online, the fight-or-flight response tends towards confrontation. People, already in hiding, prefer “fighting” virtually.

Despite the apparent intensity, online conflicts often lack significance, resembling trivial battles in video games. The ease of expressing opinions from behind a screen diminishes the impact of these confrontations.
