What is causing these little holes….I don’t wear belts and it’s not my washing machine.

Discovering holes in your clothes doesn’t mean saying goodbye to them. Even without sewing skills, you can salvage your favorite pieces. Avoiding noticeable stitches, this method is useful for minor holes, expanding your wardrobe.

Why Holes Occur

Holes aren’t just about moths; wear and tear, snagging on bras, belts, and laundry equipment can cause them. Bleach, zippers, and washing practices contribute too. Identifying the cause helps in prevention.

Preventing Holes

Identify culprits like belt buckles or zippers and adjust or protect them. Practice washing machine care, avoid overloading, separate delicate fabrics, and be cautious with bleach. Combat moths with traps or oils. Watch for rough surfaces that can snag.

Mending Without Sewing

For holes under 5 mm, use fusible bonds, an iron, and wax paper. Turn the clothing inside out, place fused web over the hole, cover with wax paper, and iron on “wool” setting. Check the hole and repeat if needed. This easy method revitalizes your clothes in minutes.
