Her pic wearing a bikini on the beach is being shared but when the camera zooms out we understand why

In 2012, Aimee Copeland, a 24-year-old grad student, faced a life-altering incident during a ziplining trip. A fall led to a seemingly harmless wound, infected by flesh-eating bacteria. “It has taken me a long time to become comfortable with and accept my new body,” Aimee shared. Despite 11 surgeries and amputation of both hands and legs, she emerged victorious, showcasing her scars proudly.

Aimee’s resilience captivated social media, spreading a message of embracing imperfections. She expressed, “The scars and skin grafting build character!” Now, four years post-accident, she confidently flaunts her body in a beach bikini. Aimee, an advocate for amputee and disability rights, inspires through speeches and social media. Currently pursuing a PhD in psychology, she emphasizes, “It’s not about what you have — what you do with what you have is what really counts.” Aimee Copeland’s journey stands as a testament to overcoming adversity and finding strength in vulnerability.
