‘That’s a Wrap on the Weekend’: Toby Keith’s Last Post 1 Day before His Death

In a poignant Instagram post, Toby Keith, the revered country music icon, bid farewell to fans with a video of his final performance. Captioned “And that’s a wrap on the weekend, y’all,” it unknowingly served as his goodbye post. The emotional impact was palpable as fans expressed their sorrow, with one commenting, “This was his goodbye post.”

Tragically, the news of Keith’s passing at 62 due to stomach cancer emerged hours later on February 5. An Instagram statement revealed he peacefully concluded his battle, surrounded by family. Heartfelt messages flooded social media, affirming, “We love you, Toby. Your music will live on forever, legend.”

In the days leading up to his demise, Keith candidly shared moments of reflection on early songwriting and entertaining crowds. Despite his public battle with cancer, he optimistically spoke of overcoming the “roller coaster” of good and bad days, expressing eagerness to return to the stage.
