Unbelievable creativity! Witness the amazing transformation of a Boeing 747 into a stunning, fully functional home.

In the trend of unique homes like buses and tiny houses, Jo Ann Ussery stands out for transforming a used Boeing 727 into her dream home. Facing housing challenges in 1993 after her Mississippi home was destroyed and her husband passed away, Ussery explored unconventional solutions with her brother-in-law’s suggestion of living in a plane.

Falling in love with a disassembled Boeing 727 for $2,000, she named it “Little Trump.” Despite spending about $60,000 on renovations, her cost was less than $30,000 today. The 138-foot plane, anchored with concrete, featured a 1,500 sq ft interior with three bedrooms, a kitchen, living room, and laundry.

Ussery’s unique touch included a master bathroom in the cockpit, offering a majestic view. Despite completing the entire project alone, her dream ended abruptly when, during transportation, the plane fell off the carriage and collapsed.
