Rod Stewart Makes The Decision To Leave LA, Fed Up With Its “Toxic” Culture

Iconic musician Rod Stewart, known for hits like “I Don’t Want to Talk About It,” is bidding farewell to Los Angeles at 78, citing a “toxic culture” and invasion of privacy. Stewart, along with wife Penny Lancaster and sons Alastair and Aiden, plans to return to London to escape the burdensome LA lifestyle. His $70 million estate, boasting a 33,000 sq ft European-style residence with a pool and soccer field, is on the market. Stewart, disenchanted with constant travel, purchased the property in 1991 for $12.08 million. His move aims to ease family travel and provide privacy, as the LA scene clashed with their values.

Penny Lancaster, dedicated to her role as a volunteer police officer, finds fulfillment away from LA. The family’s strong ties to the UK, where the boys attend a prestigious school, further affirm their decision to leave America. Despite his children being born from various relationships, they fully support Stewart’s return to London, prioritizing their father’s happiness.
