Bret and Zach, riding a motorcycle near Little Rock, Arkansas, discovered an old dog carrier. Inside, they found a severely malnourished dog named Charlie Bravo. Covered in feces, she had tried to free herself by chewing through the carrier. They left briefly but returned with food and water.
The dog expressed gratitude instantly. They trimmed her overgrown claws, bathed her, and took her to the vet. Charlie was estimated to be eight months old, with signs of prolonged confinement. Her story circulated on Facebook, leading to donations for her veterinary care.
Excess funds were shared with animal charities, and they established a fund called “Charlie’s Angels” for rescued animals. Bret and his family, initially uncertain about keeping Charlie, adopted her and three more rescued dogs. These heroes saved a sweet dog’s life.
