Easy Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup Recipe

Prepare a comforting Chicken Noodle Soup with these ingredients: 1 pound of chicken, 8 cups of chicken broth, water, carrots, celery, onion, garlic, bay leaf, thyme, parsley, salt, pepper, and egg noodles.

  1. Chicken Prep: Cut chicken into pieces or leave thighs whole. Brown in a pan for 5 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  2. Veggies: In the same pan, cook onion, garlic, carrots, and celery for 5 minutes.
  3. Simmer: Add chicken broth, bay leaf, thyme, parsley, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 20 minutes.
  4. Noodles: Cook egg noodles separately, then set aside.
  5. Finish: Return cooked chicken to the pot, simmer for 10 more minutes. Remove bay leaf, add noodles, adjust seasoning, and serve.
