Teen wrestler drops and pins kidnapper saves 3 children from gas station abduction

In March 2020, high school student Canaan Bower displayed remarkable bravery at a gas station in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Hearing a commotion, the wrestling champion rushed to the scene where a brawl was underway. Canaan intervened, body-slamming an aggressor and holding him down until the police arrived.

Unbeknownst to Canaan, this act of courage went beyond breaking up a fight. On the same day, a mother with her three children was targeted by a man named Daniel Beltran Arroyo. Arroyo demanded the children from the mother, leading to a scuffle and bystander intervention. Canaan’s timely arrival made all the difference, preventing a potential tragedy.

Tragically, Canaan passed away in a motorcycle accident in March 2022. His heroic actions will forever be remembered.
