NFL Legend Jim Brown Rips Kaepernick: ‘I Don’t Desecrate My Flag’

Jim Brown, a football legend, asserted his American patriotism, contrasting himself with Colin Kaepernick. Brown criticized Kaepernick’s approach to addressing social justice issues, claiming it should be done intelligently instead of kneeling during the national anthem. He emphasized his commitment to working within the system without desecrating the flag or anthem.

Brown also raised the point that taking money from NFL owners while not respecting their rules is contradictory. He stated, “You can’t be two things at once that contradict each other. If I sign for money, then the people I sign with, they have rules and regulations.”

Brown’s remarks suggest that Kaepernick’s protest, involving kneeling during the anthem, has harmed the NFL by alienating fans and damaging its image. Owners may hesitate to sign Kaepernick due to concerns about his willingness to adhere to their rules.
