At age 8, Akiane Kramarik painted the ethereal masterpiece “Prince of Peace,” driven by a recurring visionary inspiration. Now a 28-year-old author and philanthropist, Akiane, raised in a non-religious home, spoke of her artistic gift coming from God during an appearance on Oprah. Her mother, initially atheist, noted a simultaneous spiritual awakening in the family.
Akiane’s inspiration for the painting came from a vision she had since preschool, and after a family prayer, a tall carpenter resembling Jesus became her model. Despite facing theft, clerical errors, and court battles, Akiane’s determination led to the recovery of “Prince of Peace” after 16 years. In 2019, an anonymous family bought the painting for $850,000, seeing themselves as stewards to protect the masterpiece. Akiane, moved to tears, expressed her gratitude, stating, “Love is so powerful. It will always show up on time to people who need it most.” The painting is now on exhibit at Belóved Gallery in Marble Falls, TX.
