In a tragic turn, DuShon Monique Brown, a beloved member of the ‘Chicago Fire’ cast, passed away at 49 after an apparent heart attack. Rushed to the hospital on Friday morning, she was declared dead by noon. Dick Wolf, the producer, expressed the sorrow of the ‘Chicago Fire’ family, stating, “Our impressions and blessings are with DuShon’s family, and we will all miss her.”
Brown had been part of the show since its inception in 2012, also featuring in ‘Shameless’ and ‘Empire.’ Her death not only impacts her cast-mates but leaves a void in her family, including her daughter Zoe. Brown, known for her role as Katie Welch in ‘Prison Break,’ worked as a drama strategist at Kenwood Academy High School in Chicago when off-screen.
Survived by her daughter, Zoe, Brown’s manager, Robert Schroeder, shared, “She brought laughter and joy to several, and she will be greatly missed.”
