He bought an old picture from a flea market for only $2

In 2010, Randy Guijarro bought three tintypes for $2 at a California antique shop, one revealing a 1878 image of Billy the Kid playing croquet. Initially worth $2, it now sold for millions. Guijarro, a telecom specialist, and his wife, Linda, plan to fund more explorations with the proceeds. He shared,

“We may benefit from a new car. We intend to look into forgotten historical events.” The photo, only the second authenticated one of Billy the Kid, was valued at $5 million. Guijarro’s journey, detailed in a National Geographic special, was challenging but rewarding. He emphasized honesty amid false leads and mistrust. The couple, passionate collectors, will use the funds wisely, emphasizing their intent to avoid hoarding.
