Mom Notices Her Boy Not Go Into School After Being Dropped Off, Then She Realizes Why

In Santa Fe, Texas, a photo of kindergartner Royce Thompson praying and reciting the Pledge of Allegiance at his elementary school has taken the internet by storm, amassing over 2 million views on Facebook. Despite being dropped off late, Royce, unfazed by his tardiness, stood firm during the Pledge, earning praise from a surprised police officer.

Officer Cibby Moore expressed admiration, stating, “He just ignored all the kids around him and kept doing it. And it was awesome.” Royce, aware of the absence of prayer in schools, silently thanked God, capturing the moment in a photo that touched hearts nationwide.

The proud mother, Heather Nelson, attributes her son’s values to his role model, Judge Mike Nelson, stating, “It’s stuff like this that still gives me hope for the future.” The viral image not only showcases Royce’s patriotism but also highlights the impact of positive influences on young minds.
