Janet Jackson’s son isn’t a baby anymore

Born with the legendary Jackson genes, 7-year-old Eissa is already showing musical talent, possibly following in the footsteps of his iconic mother, Janet Jackson. Known for her Golden Globe and Oscar-nominated song “Again” from Poetic Justice (1993), Janet began her career on The Jacksons variety show alongside her talented siblings, including Michael and the Jackson 5.

Eissa, born on January 3, 2017, was a miracle baby for Janet, who gave birth at age 50 with then-husband Wissam Al Mana. Though the couple divorced three months later, Janet embraced motherhood wholeheartedly, choosing to raise Eissa without a nanny. “If my mother did it with nine children, there’s no reason I can’t,” Janet said, referring to matriarch Katherine Jackson.

Janet remains fiercely private about Eissa, occasionally sharing glimpses of their life. Fans recall her touching 2019 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame speech: “He wakes me up every morning singing his own melodies… You’ve shown me real, unconditional love.”

Now co-parenting in London, Janet focuses on Eissa’s happiness and growth. Describing his love for music, she shared, “He loves classical music… first day of school, he took a violin; by day three, he wanted a cello.”

With his rich musical heritage, Eissa’s future shines bright.
