President Donald Trump’s administration has sparked fear with aggressive deportation policies. They’ve shared ASMR videos of migrants being handcuffed and a meme reading, “Roses are red, violets are blue, come here illegally, and we’ll deport you.”
In January, the Department of Homeland Security announced ICE agents could enter “sensitive” areas like schools and churches to arrest undocumented immigrants. They stated, “Criminals will no longer be able to hide in America’s schools and churches.”
This policy has faced backlash, especially after a child’s heartbreaking note went viral on X. The note reads, “If ICE takes me don’t forget about me… I cry every night thinking that they will come for me at school.” It includes tearful face drawings.
Public outrage followed, with one user writing, “Fuck ICE. Fuck Donald Trump. Fuck every person who is ok with this.” Another commented, “The cruelty is the point.”
In response, some schools in New York and Chicago pledged to only allow ICE agents with signed warrants.
