Baby mocked for having white hair – years later, he looks perfectly happy and healthy

Patricia Williams, a mother, discovered her son, Redd, had albinism when he was two months old. This condition gave Redd white hair and eyes that moved side to side. After consulting with experts, it was confirmed that he had Oculocutaneous Albinism Type 1, affecting 1 in 17,000 individuals.

Patricia initially thought Redd’s characteristics would fade, but her second son, Rockwell, was also born with albinism. Sadly, their family photos were turned into hurtful memes. To combat bullying and raise awareness, Patricia and her husband became advocates for albinism.

As Patricia’s photos gained attention, she saw the lack of knowledge about albinism. Redd, who had eye surgery, transitioned to a public school without an eye patch to fit in better. Similarly, Rockwell thrived, and a video of him received positive attention on social media.

Patricia debunked the misconception that people with albinism have red eyes, explaining that they often have light blue eyes due to the lack of pigmentation.
