Three men’s bodies have been recovered from a mudslide near Lillooet, B.C., and one man remains missing, according to the RCMP.
“One deceased individual was recovered” on Wednesday, and “two additional bodies were located on Thursday,” said B.C. Chief Coroner Lisa Lapointe in a Saturday statement. Despite ongoing search efforts on Friday, the fourth man has not been found.
Earlier in the week, on Monday, the first victim—a woman—was also recovered from the site. She was confirmed as the initial fatality linked to the severe flooding and landslides caused by last weekend’s intense rainfall.Authorities continue to assess the area and support affected families.
