In Utah, 7-year-old Emery Burrows battles for her life in a Las Vegas hospital after being hit by a pickup truck last weekend. While playing soccer with her brother, their ball rolled into the street. Emery, diligently checking for cars, missed the oncoming pickup truck. Her aunt, Kate Story, revealed, “She looked right, looked left, she looked left there was a car coming, she stopped that car saw her, saw the ball, and stopped. Then Emery proceeded to run from that car and didn’t see there was a vehicle coming the opposite way.”
Emery suffered severe injuries, including a fractured skull, brain bleeding, and a tibia fracture.
