Jeremy Meeks today: What ‘world’s hottest felon’ looks like at 41

Jeremy Meeks became famous in one of the most unexpected ways—through a viral mugshot. In 2014, after being arrested on felony weapon charges, his booking photo was posted online by police and quickly spread worldwide. His striking appearance earned him the nickname “world’s hottest felon,” turning an unknown forklift operator into an internet sensation almost overnight.

Before the attention, his life had been difficult. Born in 1984, he grew up in a troubled environment marked by addiction and violence. By age 18, he had already been convicted of car theft. His 2014 arrest led to a 27-month prison sentence, but it also opened a door few could have predicted: a path to fame and opportunity.

After his release in 2016, Meeks transitioned into modeling, signing with White Cross Management and working with major brands like Philipp Plein and Tommy Hilfiger. He expanded into acting with roles in films such as *True to the Game* and *Trigger*, while also launching his own fashion ventures and securing business deals in the industry.

In 2024, he shared his life story in his memoir *Model Citizen: The Autobiography of Jeremy Meeks*. Reflecting on his journey, he said, “I’m in a place where I want to tell my story—the whole story—and hope people can connect to it.” The book highlights his transformation from incarceration to international recognition.

Now in his 40s, Meeks focuses on personal growth and being a father to his two sons. His story—from a jail cell to global runways—shows how a single moment can reshape a life, turning notoriety into a second chance and a completely new identity.
