Richard Huff, a 51-year-old father of seven, proudly calls himself an “ink addict” with over 240 tattoos that tell the story of his life. However, his love for body art has invited criticism and harsh judgments from online trolls, branding him a “monster” and a bad parent. Despite the challenges, Richard and his wife Marita stress that their family is just like any other, except for his extensive ink coverage.
Starting his tattoo journey at 17, Richard covered 85% of his body, including names of his children and his daughter’s lips. His goal is to be 100% tattooed in the next four years. His appearance sometimes made children at his kids’ school apprehensive, but his daughter defended him, saying, “my dad is not scary, he is good with tattoos.” Even Marita initially judged him based on looks but later realized his kind-hearted nature.
Despite online criticism, Richard remains a devoted father and believes his tattoos offer his kids a unique perspective on life. He maintains that negative judgments reflect more on the people making them than on his choices.
